The photos above and at the bottom of this page show what can be accomplished using our Hahn HCP-10 resin cab kit in 1/87 (HO) scale. The Hahn HCP-10 cab was a great looking and popular type in the 1970s and 80s and was used by many volunteer and paid departments, primarily in the Eastern United States. This 1/87 scale cast resin cab kit can be used to create an excellent model. You will need to add some details such as mirrors, warning lights, grab rails, and windows. One excellent source of fire accessories is now available in our Fire Tools & Accessories set. You'll need to have some kitbashing and scratchbuilding skills to create a finished model. Ralph Ratcliffe built the example below using an AHM Mack pumper body with some minor modifications. The Athearn pumper body will also work well with this cab and there are many other apparatus that can be built by using existing parts. A Vacu-formed windshield is included with the kit, with the correct contour, but the modeler must trim and fit it into the cab. The price for each kit is $18. To order, go to our Catalog page.
